Frequently Asked Questions

  • We have rolling admissions, meaning we will consider applications until we have filled the class. Applications open in September for the following year. Please apply as early as you can!

  • Once you submit an application, we will call and confirm that we received it and talk through the next steps with you. First, you will be interviewed by the Directors and then by someone from our Admissions team. After the interviews, we will call your references. The Admissions process takes 2-3 weeks and we are open and available for conversation and questions throughout the process!

  • The fee for the full year's program is $6,500. You can pay this out of your own means, or you can raise support to cover the cost. We can give you excellent coaching in support raising. A $300 non-refundable deposit is due when you accept an invitation to the program and is credited toward your total fee. The program fee covers all of your expenses of the program, including books, classes, community meals, and retreats. You will be living with a host family that will provide a room and at least one meal per week at no cost to you.

  • The Greensboro Fellows 2024-2025 cohort will kick off Sunday, September 1st. You are free to move in with your host family that weekend. The program finishes Memorial Day Weekend, May 25th.

  • We like to have a diverse set of life experiences and personalities in each cohort. We look for applicants that exhibit maturity, humility, and desire to grow in Christ. Applicants must be between the ages of 21 and 25 on the first day of the program.

  • Yes! Many fellows choose to go to graduate school after their fellows year. Fellows have gone to law school, seminary, and graduate programs in a variety of subjects (e.g. business, media, theology, counseling, etc.). We believe that the fellows time in the program gives them a Christ-centered foundation for whatever comes after. The vocational, educational and community experiences gained during the Greensboro Fellows program are great preparations for graduate study in many fields.

  • Fellows attend Church of the Redeemer, an intergenerational, worshiping, missional community of faith. Fellows are asked to find an area within the church to serve at least once a month— whether that is welcome team, youth ministry, worship team, etc. Our host church prays for and supports the fellows in such a welcoming and intentional way.

  • Each Fellow needs a car or reliable transportation to get to their jobs, classes, church, and events. For retreats and out-of-town events, we drive together in the Directors’ cars or church van.

  • Unless there are special circumstances, we strongly encourage each fellow to go on the Rwanda trip and experience the Kingdom of God in a different part of the world!
