What We Do
Work
Launch into your career through professional development and vocational discernment as you work a paid job in your field of interest. Greensboro has a thriving non-profit sector and a variety of jobs in education, medicine, business, marketing, technology, missions, and ministry.
Volunteer
We are called to love and serve others. Monthly, Fellows serve on a ministry team at Church of the Redeemer and explore the value of creation care through regular volunteering at NGP Farm, the regenerative farm at our church. We also regularly serve with other local organizations in Greensboro. At the end of the year, we take a trip to our partner church in Rwanda.
Community
We grow best in caring, Christ-centered relationships. Community is core to learning who we are and how to love and build each other up in Christ. As a Fellow, you get to experience deep community with the Fellows, your host home, and church.
Study
Fellows take seminary-level classes each semester. With Old and New Testament courses as a fixture, Fellows explore other topics with experts in the fields of Theological Ethics, Creation Theology, Church History, and a Theology of Work.
Host Homes
Live with a family from our community and share life amidst daily challenges, joys and failures. Families open their homes to fellows and they all get to learn from one another in their different stages of life.
Worship
We worship and serve at Church of the Redeemer, a vibrant worshipping, missional community of faith in Greensboro. Redeemer values creation care through the regenerative farm that sits on its property, community through its 11 non-profit organizations supported through the Abbey ministry, and the global church through its partnerships in Rwanda.
